Monday 15 December 2014

Today I was away at a mentorship meeting. Mr. Sternloff taught today, including an interesting lesson  on coral, the animal that is almost not an animal.

Math- students in grade 6 students received their math quizzes on decimal division and multiplication. Today they worked on corrections and had math games when those corrections were finished. The mark should be recorded in their agendas today.

CHRISTMAS DRESS REHEARSAL tomorrow morning, please have your child come dressed in the colours below.

Christmas concert tomorrow night. IF you can, please consider a donation to our food bank. Students should wear red, green, or white. Please no logos, turn a shirt inside out if that helps. Students should arrive around 6 pm, concert starts promptly at 6:30 pm. It is a short show so please plan on staying for the entire time.

VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED:

The class would like to deliver small boxes of good wishes to a few locations around downtown Revelstoke on Friday afternoon. Could you come for about 30 minutes to take a group of 4 students to deliver their boxes downtown? We would be walking.

Please RSVP me as soon as possible if you can help, and so I know if I can do this activity. sarahnewton33@gmail.com

SCIENCE:
Here are the science videos that we watched. IF your child was absent, please have them-
-brainstorm what they know about coral,
-THEN let them watch the videos
-Record all new info.
-Now, discuss how coral can be an animal.
What are the characteristics of animals-
-grow and develop
