No need to buy everything new. Used supplies from previous years are best.

Cheap pencils & pencil crayons often break & are frustrating for students, buy higher quality.

Exercise notebooks can be labeled one for JOURNALS and one for SPELLING.

The binder will need sections for L. Arts, SCIENCE, SOCIALS, and OTHER, label accordingly
Divide the looseleaf among the 4 subjects listed above.

Plastic Pocket goes at the back of the binder.

Duotang labeled MATH (empty, no need for paper in it).

I will give each student a ziplock bag to put their extra supplies in (erasers, pencils, etc) and I will keep it behind my desk for them to access throughout the year when they need to restock.

Today we started a fun project about an ancient civilization of our choice we had to pick on question and find the answer using internet and for the people who were loud and noisy a book.

Please accept my apology for not posting immediately after school yesterday! I was told my blog writer was 'on it' but I see now that it wasn't done.

Spelling Test marks are in the agenda. This was the last test of the year. Please study for the 7 x table test this Friday.

Students are writing their last persuasive essay on a topic of their choice. All students have chosen a topic, but they should be conning to talk to you about ideas around their topic.  Math Bk 9, pg 23 due today (tuesday).

Civilizations timelines due today.

Line Art due Wednesday.

Please bring in magazines for an art project by friday.

District Track is this Friday, a.m. only.

Math Quiz on Friday- tomorrow, booklet 8
Latest date to pass in booklet 8 is Monday.


Students received their extreme environment test back and have marked their score in their agendas.

tomorrow there is a spelling test for Unit 30, and the sentences are due then too.

Please bike, walk, scooter to school tomorrow. Wear a helmet if you are on a bike please! Last day of bike to work week.

Next Friday is the 7 times table test.

Grade 7's had a great time golfing today, next Monday they need to remember to bring water next week!

Tomorrow is district FIELD Day at CPE, we will leave BVE at 8:40 a.m. on a bus, returning at 12 noon.

Please help your child bike, scooter, or walk to school this week. It is Bike to Work Week.

Wednesday we go to Mt Cartier Court and students should bring up to 5 prized possessions (or photos of them) to share at stations with the seniors.

Good Copy of the Persuasive Essay on a shorter school week is due Wednesday morning.

Science- Extreme Environment Test on Wednesday. We will spend the class on Tuesday reviewing.

French Letter, good copy due on Wednesday, most students finished in class.

Father's Day art is due Thursday.

Spelling Test and Sentences due this Friday, unit 30.

Today students were happy to see Ms. Wiesner for the morning as I was away at a doctor's appointment.

Math- booklet 8, page 77, 1-3, 5-7

6 x table test this Friday

Digital footprints are now overdue.

Spelling Unit 30 isn't until next week, June 3rd, sentences due at that time too. Students who have all sentences from unit 30 and 29 completed will be enjoying a home made chocolate truffle!

We will need bikes in working order for the end of June. Please contact me if your child doesn't have a bike that they can use. Please make sure brakes and tires are in good working order.

Next Tuesday is District Track Championships in the morning at CPE, May 31
Next Wednesday we will go to Mt Cartier Court for our last visit. June 1st.
Next Monday golf starts for Grade 7 students, 1-2 pm

Art Cards due tomorrow

We are going swimming on Friday, please fill out the permission slip and return it as soon as possible. Also golf forms and Cartier Court forms are  overdue. Pack a lunch on Friday for the pool!

Sports Day is Thursday, all students will participate unless they have a medical note from home.
Dress for foul weather, it may rain.
